Here’s To Us centers around Michelle Mynx, a pole legend and creator of the Mynx Extravaganza, the largest, longest running charity pole event and founder of the Mynx Academy. Michelle serves as an inspiration and a mother figure to a large group of people who often feel forgotten or rejected by their own families and society in general. The documentary will highlight 15 of Michelle’s students as they prepare to perform in the 2019 Mynx Extravaganza (benefiting Coll For Help, Inc. – Sexual Assault Victims Care Unit). We will see each student’s journey and learn their individual stories and how they found peace, comfort, acceptance and love within this small community. The film will document triumph and beauty in the face of gender issues, abuse, bigotry, racism, misogyny, mental illness and violent crime.
